To design the Resonance ring, I drew inspiration from both music and the circles the sea forms when stones are skipped across it. The materials and stones respond to each other like musical notes: the pure white of the cacholon (a type of sandalwood) converses with the brilliance of the diamonds, while a gradient of pinks is woven between tourmaline and spinels.
From the delicately placed spinels on the flanks, every detail balances the whole and extends the movement of the motif. The central stone, a tourmaline cut from an unheated rough stone from Nigeria, was cut by me to perfectly complement the piece.
Resonance is a creation conceived as a movement, a visual echo where each element — colour, height, brightness — finds its place to form a unique harmony.
